SoCal Cyclocross Ends with a Smile!

The Socal Cross Prestige Series came to an end on Sunday. It went out with a bang! The racing was fun and fierce. Most of the racers we spoke with agreed that it was the hardest race of the season. The course was brutal with 3 legit climbs, and a steep run-up! It was a wonderful end to a wonderful season! We will all be looking forward to the fun next year! All of us here at Fluid want to give a huge THANK YOU to Dorothy Wong for organizing the series this year, and making it wonderful! It was an honor for Fluid to help watch this wonderful sport gorw and mature in Southern California!

If you still have not raced cross, there are a couple races left in January as part of the Fever Series! Fluid will be in its hometown of San Luis Obispo on January 11 for Vine Cross! Don't Miss it!

Where was Fluid this weekend?

The Santa to The Sea Half Marathon was a wonderful event on a chilly Saturday morning in Oxnard, California! This was a flat and fast course with Josh Spiker of Inside Track Running winning with a time just over 1:10! The high winds and chilly temps didn't stop Santa or the Elves from coming out to run! As always, Fluid was waiting at the finish line! The runners then enjoyed a pancake breakfast, and a massage! This was an excellent event, and if you love half marathons, you should put this one on your calendar for next year!

Palos Verdes, California

The Urban Cross series final was back in Palos Verdes on the same killer course that started the season in October! The event was on crystal clear day overlooking the pacific ocean! It was so clear that you could see the Hollywood Sign from Palos Verdes! The racing was fierce, and was a wonderful end to the cross season! We look forward to having Fluid at the races next season!

Where was Fluid this weekend?

Socal Cross
Pelona Vista Park, Palmdale, CA

Another wonderful event by the Socal Cross prestige series! It was a rainy morning in palmdale, and Cross racing in Southern California finally saw some clouds in the sky! It was another dominant performance by Celo Pacific's Brent Prenzlow, and was a wonderful race for 2nd and third with John Brehrens of Bailey bikes rounding out the podium!

Lasse Viren 20K Trail Run

There is nothing like a trail run in the canyons and on the trails of Malibu California! The Lasse Viren 20k did not disappoint! Fluid was out there rockin' with the runners as usual, and providing the best trail running recovery drink ever! Bobby Olivera won by over 6 minutes with time of 1 hour 10 minutes! Bobby says, "Fluid is awesome."

That's what we think too!

Have a great week everyone!

Cheers!

Rich, Dave, and all of Team Fluid.
